Programs That Change Lives

DeMolay exposes its members to a wide range of useful and essential life skills every month. Each class is taught by trained professionals in the Gallatin Valley. Cooking, finances, automotive, first aid, career planning, nutrition, outdoor safety, and so much more.

Our members take ownership of their DeMolay experience. From generating ideas, planning events, coordinating logistics, and executing their plans, each DeMolay Chapter is responsible for defining their success. All of this is accomplished under the mentorship of trained Advisors, selected from the local community, enabling each Chapter to be uniquely tailored to support the interests of its members.

Our members practice and perfect deeply meaningful pieces to be regularly performed. From a monologue honoring a Mothers’ love, to a sending off of brothers who have reached the age of majority, each carries a different lesson that the young men take with them beyond their time in DeMolay. Anyone watching a DeMolay performance for the first time is likely to be astounded by the ability and professionalism of the members - many of whom have no idea that what they're doing is truly special.

Effective meetings are the cornerstone around which a chapter functions and grows. Meetings give members the opportunity to be creative and turn their ideas into reality. Every DeMolay has a role in the opening and closing of meetings. Every year new roles are selected for members, and an election is held for new chapter leadership. The leader of a chapter is the Master Councilor. This position provides hands-on experience through challenging the young man in charge to make decisions for the chapter and organize the “when, where, and how” of events. DeMolays have the opportunity to lead on a local, state, regional, and international level.

Being engaged in one's community is a core lesson DeMolay teaches. Giving back through food drives, fundraising, hands on labor, and so much more. DeMolays are proud to serve those in need and engage as contributing citizens of the Gallatin Valley.

Above all things DeMolay stives to create good men of character. One cannot simply put into words all of the ways our young men grow. Kindness, integrity, endurance, accountability come naturally to all who experience our program. Our young men are challenged daily to be the best they can be and truly connect with their individual purpose in life.
